Sighting of Aircraft of Unknown Foreign Origin

Various pilots have reported odd, 'saucer'-shaped flying objects whilst on combat missions in various WWII theatres. Some pilots manged to take photographs, which are reproduced here. If anyone has any intelligence regarding these craft, Q-flight would like to hear from you.

WTF is that, Mr Zulu?

Sighting Closer look Smokin'!
This series of photographs was taken by pilots of VI Sqdn, RVAF. In the first, Sgt Sophie 'Pixie' Grant frames both her flight leader's 'plane and the UFO. Note the flak in the upper left. When the craft failed to respond to radio instructions to either land or clear the area, Squadron Leader Richard 'Mad Dan' Grant fired warning shots, which appeared to pierce some variety of fuel container. The craft exploded soon afterwards.
