The current operations of No.VI OCU Squadron are incredibly varied. In joint operations between the two sections at RVAF Sawston and RVAF Nut House, the personnel of VI Squadron fly anything from Supermarine Spitfires to McDonnell-Douglas Hornet FGR3s in theatres of operations that include Europe, The Middle East and Korea.
Squadron members fly their aircraft remotely, using Apple Macintosh computers, thus keeping down the cost of maintaining the OCU.
